Big Lakers and their friends cast enough votes in the annual Michelob Golden Light lakes preservation contest that Big Lake will be awarded $50,000 in the spring, when next year’s contest is announced. In the meantime, there will be a meeting at City Hall Tuesday with the Freshwater Society, Sherburne County Soil and Water Conservation District, Big Lake Public Works, Big Lake Lakes Association, City Administrator Clay Wilfahrt and Muehlbauer to discuss how to spend the money.
