Eagles Defeat Moose Lake on the Road 4-3

After a devastating11-0 loss at Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato to start the new year Jan 3, the Eagles got their fourth win of the season 4-3 over Moose Lake Jan 6.

Moose Lake was first to score in the first period but a response from the Eagles came quickly with an even strength goal from Alec Doran (Aubrey Hartfiel, Garrett Anderson assist).

The Eagles got their lead with two more goals in the second period. The first was a power play by Weston Schug (Hartfiel, Logan Beckstrom assist) and the second an even strength by Hartfiel (Schug assist). Those goals were split by one from Moose Lake, making the score 4-2 at the beginning of the final period. Moose Lake would score once more on the Eagles’ Zach Piehl, but would fall short and the Eagles could celebrate victory again for the first time in since the December tournament in Barron, WI.

The Eagles served 18 minutes on five minor infractions while Moose Lake served 27 minutes on eight infractions, which included misconduct and head contact.
