Sergeant Spencer T. Olson, United States Marine Corps Reserve, recently presented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his employment supervisors, Midwest Tank, Inc. President Bruce Aubol and Vice President Carl Aubol.
The award was given on March 12, at the main shop of Midwest Tank, 17368 – 197th Avenue, Elk River, Minnesota in recognition of their support of Sgt. Olson’s service to the Marine Corps. Sgt. Olson was very appreciative of the Aubols’ support and assistance with his Marine Corps deployments and wanted to honor them.
The past 12 months have been a challenging period for Sgt. Olson because of his frequent and often lengthy periods away from work due to Olson’s Marine Corps commitments. The ceremony was a happy and meaningful event for all present. The photo shows the assembly shop for Midwest Tank in which massive industrial tanks are built.
The tanks weigh 20 tons and are shipped by truck to facilities throughout the United States. Also present was Midwest Tank Vice President Marlo Churness and Bob Adams, an ESGR Ombudsman /Minnesota Committee member.
